Relative Space Concept Showroom Hosts ‘Designer Dating’ Weekends in June

Relative Space, a Canadian custom-design flooring and carpeting company hosts a new showroom program, matching individual consumers with top New York designers. Select products will be offered at discount based on interior project orders in the TriState area.

The Relative Space concept showroom showcases sustainable and LEED-compliant wood and textiles, is located at 2 Bond Street near Broadway in New York. Ecologically sensitive products on offer to consumers include the Fuse, Vorwerk and Luminoso brands.

This new ‘designer dating’ interior consultative program aims to provide the best design solutions with renowned talent. The consumer sessions begin at the weekends throughout June 2010. Appointments may be made via bond@relative-space.com or telephone 212.353.3370.

Top New York interior designers and architects will provide client-side services onsite at the Relative Space showroom, including Dror Benshetrit of Studio Dror (www.studiodror.com) and Courtney Sloane of Alternative Design (www.alternativedesign.com), among others in coming weeks.

Current commercial projects completed by the Relative Space team in New York include United Nude with Rem D. Koolhaas, Hyatt Andaz on Wall Street with David Rockwell, and 75 Portland by Philippe Starck’s YOO Brand.

Relative Space concept showroom opened in September 2010, and has hosted a variety of programs for the architecture and design community; including the launch of Architizer.com, a PRATT exhibit of student design, as well as a MoMA global design competition and panel hosted by curator Andres Lepik and Berlin-based architect Juergen Meyer H.
