Start Small, Go Big for DailyCandy’s 10th Anniversary

Women’s lifestyle site DailyCandy is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a competition. Its Start Small, Go Big Contest will reward one entrepreneur apiece from the fashion, food, and fun categories with a spot at one-day small business workshop the DailyCandy Academy in New York Oct. 28, in conjunction with the site’s anniversary celebration, where they will benefit from stories, insights, and counsel from established businesspeople, as well as one-on-one meetings with experts in tech, product, marketing, branding, public relations, and finance.

The three winners will also receive $10,000 apiece and mentions in DailyCandy e-mails and on the Web site.

Entries will be accepted through Sept. 6, and contestants should visit the contest site or its Facebook page to describe how their product or service makes life “a little sweeter.” Visitors to DailyCandy will be able to vote starting Sept. 9, and winners will be announced Sept. 30.

Senior vice president and general manager Beth Ellard said:

DailyCandy editors have been identifying and championing emerging businesses since 2000. As we finish our first decade and look to the next stage in our evolution, we wanted to give a few small business innovators an even bigger DailyCandy boost. Our new contest will do just that.
