The New Yorker’s Nick Denton Profile: What Did Everyone Think? (Village Voice / Runnin’ Scared)

Over the past weekend, The New Yorker dropped its long-anticipated profile of Gawker Media publisher Nick Denton. So, how were the reactions? And what did Denton himself think? Gawker contributor Peter Feld, for one, felt that, with such “insidery” pieces, the issue is that “outsiders don’t care” and they are “boring to insiders.” As for Denton, he said he’d hoped the article would prove more revealing, but that he is instead still “imprisoned in a myth of my own making.”
