ARCHITECT CHAD OPPENHEIM OF OPPENHEIM ARCHITECTURE + DESIGN, SAXON HENRY OF ADROYT, MARC KUSHNER OF ARCHITIZER & PAUL CLEMENCE ARCHITECTURAL PHOTOGRAPHY
NEW YORK – NOVEMBER 2011 – Relative Space, the leading Canadian flooring and textile company, proudly presents a new speaker and exhibit series ‘Design Into Miami’ at their New York Showroom located at 2 Bond Street, by invitation, on Thursday, November 10, 2011, hosted by company Principal Tyler Greenberg and Architizer.
The topic for discussion is sustainble global architecture, as moderated by Adroyt social media expert and Four Florida Moderns author Saxon Henry, explored by the dynamic architectural duo of Chad Oppenheim of Oppenheim Architecture + Design and Marc Kushner, founder of Architizer and Principal at HWKN. The evening is a celebration of Design Miami and Art Basel Miami Beach, culminating in a dedicated, Miami-themed architectural photography exhibit by Paul Clemence.
“The architecture of Chad Oppenheim is simultaneously daring and sensible, romantic and reductive; evocative and essential. An alchemist of atmosphere, Oppenheim transforms the prosaic into the poetic – eliciting a site’s inherent power through minimal gesture and sincere means. Spaces and structures, optimized for pleasure and performance, establish aesthetic delight with passioned senstivity towards man and nature.” American Architects
“Paul Clemence goes ‘hunting’ amid the word’s built environment. A graduate of one of Brazil’s most elite schools of architecture and now a resident of New York City, Clemence has a visceral understanding of architecture’s essentially sculptural nature. And yet he has made it his calling to achieve the seemingly impossible — to capture the experience of three dimensions in a rigidly two-dimensional medium. To achieve his goal, Clemence pounces on the instant when, within his viewfinder, he sees not the entirety of the building itself — impossible task — but the moment-by-moment experience of moving through it.” Robert Landon, Aishti Magazine
