This 14-foot, three-dimensional head is an interactive sculpture. Covered in 300 LED panels and 850,000 LED lights, the piece projects the head of passerby’s via a photo booth in the back to the audience. This video shows a glimpse into the experience viewer’s are seeing.
As quoted in Fast Co Design, “The sculpture addresses the relationship between self and representation of self, asking the subject of the portrait to reconsider presence through magnification,” writes Mohr. “It is intended to provide amusement and evoke larger discussions around the phenomena of social media, diversity, and the power dynamic of public art.”
